Jain Public School, Rewari is a co- educational English Medium School located in Shanti Nagar Rewari. It was established in 1986 under the leadership of Sh. Sumer Chand Ji Jain and started functioning from April, 1987 with a strength of 116 students in classes I – V. It got upgraded to class X in 1994 and later in 1999 for class XII vide CBSE Affiliation no.530144. The school is an ISO 9001 :2008 certified Institution . It was started under the Jain Education Board and since 2003 running under Bhagwan Mahavir Vidyapeeth comprising of 21 members which forms the apex body of the school.
In 1987 there were only 116 students in the school where as currently 2200 plus students have got registered with the school. Medical, Non – Medical and Commerce stream are allotted to the students in Senior Secondary classes while CCE system is followed up to secondary classes. The school aims at holistic development of the children, there by strengthening the skills of the students to emerge as intellectually, emotionally strong citizens.
At the initial stage there were only 8 rooms in school building while today the double storeyed building of the school with its updated and most sophisticated infrastructure provide a perfect ambience for the growth of cognitive and psycho – motor skills of the students.
The school building accommodates spacious and well ventilated class rooms, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths , Junior & Senior Computer laboratories to enhance the practical and analytical skills of the students & all classrooms are equipped with smart class rooms resources. The English Language Lab in the school caters to the students need to communicate effectively & fluently. Not only this the infrastructure also includes Resource center, Separate Junior & Senior Libraries, Conference room, Medical Room, Sports Room, Music Room and in the pipeline is an extensive plan to set up an exquisitely decorated auditorium for various co curricular activities. The School also has well maintained botanical garden. It has a fleet of 18 buses catering to the conveyance requirement of the students.
Besides providing academic excellence, the school also emphasizes on teaching of the moral values. The day starts with the prayer and moral teaching. Moral Education examination is conducted annually by Akhil Bhartiya Digambar Jain Parishad, Delhi. Apart from education, the school organizes educational tours & excursion to promote spirit of adventure, self – confidence and to enhance scientific, geographical & historical knowledge of students. In games & sports, School has provision for cricket, Volleyball, Throw Ball, Football, Table Tennis, Badminton, Kho – Kho etc. The school band is a unique feature.
There are 100+ members in the teaching faculty who share their knowledge & learning with the students. Time and again workshop & seminars are organized to polish the teaching skills of the teachers the students of this institution have proved their mettle, be it academics, sports or cultural activities. They have raised the bar of academic excellence through their exceptional performance in the board examinations over the years.
